On September 1-September 9, 2019, Kavok Farzend-Third stage student from the English Department, represented the University of Zakho in a culture exchange program in China. It is worth mentioning that the delegation consisted of thirteen students from different universities in Kurdistan alongside three officials from Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research of KRG have completed their ten-day travel to China, organized by Consulate General of China in Erbil and the Ministry of Higher Education of Kurdistan Region.
The journey took place in Beijing, Shanghai, and Hangzhou. Moreover , they visited many historical, traditional, and cultural places including The Great Wall of China. In addition, they had the chance to exchange cultures with Chinese students from Beijing International Studies University, by representing various topics about both nations.

Directorate of General Registration at the University of Zakho informs graduates of 12th grade (Scientific and Literary) who are accepted in the University of Zakho, the door of registration will be opened on Sunday, October 13, 2019.
